Well done collection Jan 05, 2007
As with many other AG products, this disc is a collection of pieces that Chip Davis has selected. In this case items were selected to fit the mood of the dinner hour. This disc is part of the "Day Parts" series and I primarily purchased it to complete the set. That said, all of the discs in this series do exactly what is expected of them. When I'm up reading the paper on Sunday, I put in Sunday Morning Coffee. When we are hosting a party, Party and Party 2 go right into the player. This disc is perfect for Dinner music. The only reason I didn't give this disc 5 full stars was that there was nothing on the disc that made me say "Wow" or even "How interesting." The musicianship of all the parties involved remains high and I would highly recommend this particular disc as well as for the listener to look into other American Grammaphone items.
