The American Spirit was created by Chip as a musical reflection of our great nation -- with songs evoking both the past and present.  One of Chip's goals in releasing the CD was to share his pride in our country's heritage, freedoms and America's indomitable spirit.

This television spot featuring an uplifting sound track was also released, reminding everyone of our country's beauty and natural wonders.

Way before there were star-studded fundraisers for different causes, Chip and Mannheim Steamroller pioneered a special concert tour for Yellowstone National Park.  The two-year tour was undertaken to raise national awareness of our country's first national park and, more importantly, funds for Yellowstone following devastating fires. As Chip relates in this video story, proceeds from the tour were to help rebuild the infrastructure of the park while nature and time would regenerate Yellowstone's environment.   Mannheim Steamroller's "The Music of Nature, a Concert for Yellowstone" raised more than $500,000 for the park.  It was the largest individual contribution ever received by Yellowstone at that time.

A portion of the sales from the "Music of Nature" continue to benefit Yellowstone National Park as part of Chip's ongoing commitment to our natural environment.
